PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Since 2010 David has learned, mastered and taught his craft.  His start with Gary Manuel Aveda Institute and Gary Manuel Salon is where he mastered their training philosophies and began teaching in the advanced training program. Within 2 years David became a senior stylist and served in that position until 2019.

Since then David worked at a lovely boutique salon
in the Montlake area (Glam & Tonics). With the event of Covid, David has now opened an exclusive, single chair, boutique salon in the heart of the West Seattle Junction.  He is excited to provide a safer environment by working one on one with his loyal clientele and all the new clientele he's looking forward to meet in our community.

VOLUNTEERING

During David's time in the beauty industry, he became a licensed instructor and organized an external volunteer program within Gary Manuel Salon and Gary Manuel Aveda Institute. Working with beauty school students and beauty professionals from across the Puget Sound, this program helped folks with hair care as they transitioned out of homelessness.

entrepreneur

With the launch of Fringe & Frolic Salon, David is building his 10th year in the industry as an independent entrepreneur.

Equity & Equality

Race and Social Justice is a topic on the top of our minds at Fringe & Frolic Salon. We stand in support of Black Lives Matter and encourage folks to support our marginalized communities, especially our Trans POC community, whom are our most vulnerable. As a self identified queer business owner I understand how important it is to make representation in government equitable.
